WHEN DID YOU START COACHING AT CCFH?
I started coaching at CCFH in the fall of 2019.
WHY/HOW DID YOU GET INTO FITNESS (AND CROSSFIT)?
I found my way into fitness, and more specifically CrossFit, around 2015 when I was in recovery from an eating disorder. The community and strength that you can only find in a CrossFit gym fueled me to become healthy for the right reasons.
WHY DID YOU BECOME A TRAINER?
Those reasons are also what drove me into coaching in the first place. My husband pointed out fitness and health was the only thing I was consistently passionate about, and he helped me get my ACSM trainer certification. With that cert, I wanted to reach people in the same way CrossFit had lifted me up years earlier.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING(S) TO DO IN THE GYM?
My favorite part of being in our gym is catching up with our members. Community is what makes us who we are, and I love connecting to each and every part of our gym community.
HOW DO YOU SPEND YOUR REST DAYS?
When I’m not working out and actually have time to relax, I typically go for any gaming – board games, video games, card games, etc. Settlers of Catan is a family favorite! We may or may not have all the expansion sets …
WHAT MAKES YOU THE HAPPIEST WHEN WORKING WITH OUR MEMBERS?
All the little things. Hearing the progress going on inside the gym that impacts the way they live their lives outside of the gym always fuels me.
